Dr. Margy Bowes, The Postpartum Psychologist, Matrescence Guide

HELLO AND WELCOME!

I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Dr Margy Bowes, an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with over two decades of experience supporting people through life’s toughest challenges.

But when I became a mother, I faced a deeply personal struggle - one that surprised me. I quickly learned that I couldn’t just “think” my way through my early matrescence. In fact, at the time, I didn’t even know the word matrescence.

Although I had the psychological tools, I lacked a clear, structured guide for this unique transition.

i KNEW I NEEDED SOMETHING ELSE

So I began piecing together my own support in early motherhood - reading, reflecting, researching, and experimenting with tools that weren’t tailored for motherhood’s emotional realities.

And then it hit me - I wasn’t alone. So many mothers are doing exactly the same thing:

Googling at 2am in the quiet of the night, feeling isolated. Desperate to understand the overwhelming changes inside them. Struggling with feelings they never expected, asking questions no one seems able to answer.

I needed something practical. Something specific, gentle, and deeply attuned to this tender, transformative time. Something created for the emotional journey of matrescence.

But it didn’t seem to exist...

THE GAP I COULDN’T IGNORE

CREATING WHAT WAS MISSING

...So I created what I couldn’t find.

The Postnatal Emotional Wellbeing Toolkit™ is the compassionate roadmap I wish had been available to me - a carefully curated collection of the most effective psychological tools combined with matrescence-informed insights.

It brings together practical tools, deep understanding and frameworks that truly support the emotional and identity shifts of early motherhood.

So mothers no longer have to endlessly search for answers on their own.

So they don’t have to piece together support at 2am, feeling isolated.

So they finally have a clear, validating guide for the real transition they’re navigating.

Because motherhood forever changes you and you deserve guidance that honours that transformation.
